Collection, Processing and Use of Personal Data
The legal bases for the collection, storage and processing of personal data can be found in particular in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Personal data is information which relates to an identified or identifiable natural person (Art. 4, Para. 1 of the GDPR). This includes, in particular, names, address details, telephone numbers or email addresses. But information about preferences, memberships or, for example, previously visited websites can also constitute personal data.
If you contact us (e.g. by email or using our contact form), the data you provide shall be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and possible follow-up questions. The legal basis for processing is the necessity to implement pre-contractual measures according to Art. 6, Para. 1 b) of the GDPR. We delete the data collected in this regard once storage is no longer necessary, or we restrict processing if legal retention requirements exist.

Transfer to Third Parties

Server Log Files
Each time a user accesses our website, information is stored in a log file by our hosting provider. These “log files” contain information about the date and time you visited our website, the files and pages accessed, status codes, and system information such as the browser, operating system and the language and version of the browser interface. This data does not enable any conclusions to be drawn about the specific person.
In addition, IP addresses are also stored in log files. We cannot easily assign them to specific individuals.
When you visit our website, we collect the aforementioned data, which is technically necessary for us to enable you to view the website and to guarantee stability and security. The legal basis for processing is the necessity to protect our legitimate interests according to Art. 6, Para. 1 f) of the GDPR.

Web Analytics with Matomo (Formerly Piwik)
We use Matomo, the open-source web analytics service, provided by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, on our website. Analysis by Matomo is carried out with the purpose of and the interest in improving our website and aligning it to the interests of our users. The legal basis is Art. 6, Para. 1 f) of the GDPR.

Integration of Google Maps
We have integrated maps provided by Google Maps on our website. The purpose of this is to make it easier for visitors to find our company headquarters in Wiesloch. The legal basis is Art. 6, Para. 1 f) of the GDPR.
When you visit our website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding sub-page of our website. Other data such as your IP address is also transferred to Google. This is done regardless of whether you are logged into a Google user account, or whether such a user account does not exist. If you are logged into Google, your data shall be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want this information to be assigned to your Google profile, you must log out before viewing our website. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses it for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or displaying its website in a needs-based manner. Evaluation such as this takes place (even for users who are not logged in) particularly to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other social network users of your activities on our website. You have a right to object to the creation of such user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise the same.

We also use the reCAPTCHA tool provided by Google Inc. on our website. reCAPTCHA checks whether data is input on our website by a human or by an automated program (bot). To this end, reCAPTCHA analyzes your behavior as a website visitor using a variety of features. This analysis starts as soon as you visit the website. reCAPTCHA evaluates various types of information (e.g. IP address, length of time the visitor has spent on the website, or the mouse evaluations made by the user) for analysis purposes. The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google. The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. You are not informed that the analysis is taking place. We use reCAPTCHA to protect ourselves from misuse by automated programs. Data processing is carried out based on Art. 6, Para. 1 f) of the GDPR.

Google Web Fonts
We use Google Web Fonts on our website to display font types in a standardized manner. The required web fonts are loaded by your browser when you access the website server, in order to display the texts and font types correctly. During this process, your browser establishes a connection to Google’s servers, whereby Google is made aware that our website is being visited by a terminal device with your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts and the data processing associated with this is used in our interest in displaying our website appropriately. The legal basis is Art. 6, Para. 1 f) of the GDPR.
If your browser does not support the displaying of web fonts, a standard font is used instead.
