Classen Equipment Manufacturing Wiesloch GmbH

Norbert Classen (formerly Chairman of the Management Board of Bertrams-KONUS), Claus Albrecht (formerly authorised signatory of Bertrams-KONUS) and Hans-Raymund Roos (formerly Commercial Director of Bertrams-KONUS) founded the new company Classen Apparatebau Wiesloch (“CAW”) on 1 July 1998 to resume direct sales worldwide of the popular and proven WIESLOCH products.

CAW has been an owner-managed and completely independent company since the day it was founded.

1993

IRSM

At the same location, IRSM now manufactures thermal oil heaters and associated plant components, initially for KONUS boilers and their successor Bertrams-KONUS, and later also for other suppliers.

1989

Heidelberg Power Plants (KAH)

The production facilities at Apparatebau Wiesloch will remain in operation under new ownership and will continue to manufacture heaters and equipment components for KONUS boilers and various other companies in the thermal engineering sector, among others.

1967

Wiesloch Apparatus Engineering

Until the early 1990s, the name stood for a world-leading manufacturer of high-temperature process heating systems. By that time, “WIESLOCH” had sold approximately 4,000 systems worldwide, including heaters for maritime use, wood-fired systems, fluidised bed combustion systems and systems using liquid residual fuels.
