Other heating applications and heat exchanger solutions: Custom heat transfer systems for specialized industrial processes
Fully bespoke and customized system solutions and equipment for media coupling, temperature control, and the utilisation of waste and residual heat
Today, virtually no industrial manufacturing process fits into a standard template. Nearly all industries and facilities require specialized heating and heat distribution solutions, unusual fluid couplings, and heat exchangers designed for specific temperature ranges and applications. Often, the focus is on the safe separation of media, the recovery and utilization of waste heat, and the simultaneous, variable, and safe supply of various heat transfer fluids to individual units and operational components: Thermal oils, warm and hot water, steam, hot air and hot gases, or even molten salts. It is crucial that the equipment solution is suited to the medium, the level of contamination, the pressure and temperature levels, and the operating concept.
CAW develops heat exchanger and heating solutions as part of a fully integrated overall system. Shell-and-tube heat exchangers serve as a robust foundation because they can handle high temperatures and pressures and provide clear separation of the media. Depending on the application, models with removable tube bundles, special materials, or customized flow paths are used. Economizers utilize exhaust heat, maximizing its economic potential, and thereby significantly increasing the overall efficiency of existing plants.
In systems that use a combination of the heat transfer media listed above, CAW designs the appropriate media coupling. Thermal oil systems and thermal oil heaters provide stable process heat, while electric heaters enable emission-free heat and cover peak load scenarios. In exhaust air and exhaust gas processes, thermal oxidizer / incinerator systems can generate heat while reliably reducing emissions. Where waste heat is continuously available, combined heat and power generation using ORC technology can simultaneously enable electricity generation.
