The paint and coatings industry faces demanding requirements regarding heat and exhaust air. Numerous manufacturing and processing steps still use organic solvents, generate exhaust air containing VOCs, and simultaneously require controlled drying and defined reactions. Temperature fluctuations affect viscosity, mixing quality, reaction kinetics, and drying results. At the same time, in addition to ongoing efforts to improve efficiency, emission reduction and safety are key factors for obtaining permits and ensuring safe operation.
CAW provides process heating solutions based on thermal oil systems, thermal oil heaters, and heat exchanger systems. Thermal oil enables uniform heat transfer, precise control, and a stable supply to multiple consumers. For secondary media, shell-and-tube heat exchangers supply steam, warm and hot water, or hot gases from the thermal oil. Economizers and waste heat recovery systems increase overall efficiency by utilizing exhaust heat for preheating.
One key focus in this industry are thermal oxidizer / incinerator systems. They reliably oxidize VOCs and solvents and ensure compliance with specified emission limits. CAW designs combustion chambers and chooses residence times to reliably manage even fluctuating exhaust air volumes and load levels. Through heat recovery, the thermal energy from the exhaust air can be returned to processes – for example, to preheat combustion air or to feed it into a heat transfer fluid circuit.
CAW develops and delivers a comprehensive, integrated technical solution combining heat supply and exhaust air treatment. The goal is to always ensure stable and safe operation, provide a reliable basis for obtaining permits, and achieve a significant reduction in primary energy consumption.
