Textile manufacturing and processing: Process heat for drying, dyeing and thermal treatment

Consistent temperatures, high control accuracy and efficient heat distribution

The demand for heat in textile manufacturing and textile cleaning is both essential and high. In addition to constant temperature profiles, an extremely stable heat supply is crucial for product quality: Stretching / stenter frames, dryers, dyeing and coating processes, as well as ironing systems, require uniform temperature control. Changes in load and fluctuating material throughput must be accommodated without compromising quality. In addition, exhaust air streams are generated that, depending on the process, may contain organic components such as knitting oils, water vapor, odors, and even solids in the form of textile fibers.

CAW develops and supplies process heating solutions designed for precise control and high availability and uptime. Thermal oil systems reliably supply dryers and heating zones with stable temperatures via heat exchangers. Thermal oil is particularly well-suited when multiple consumers need to be supplied centrally, and high feed line and process temperatures are required without vapor pressure. Electric heaters complement applications where emission-free heat or flexible electrical power is required.

For exhaust air streams from coating and cleaning processes, CAW designs thermal oxidizer / incinerator systems for thermal exhaust treatment. These systems reliably break down VOCs and other odorous substances. Heat from exhaust air or exhaust gas streams can be recovered using economizers and shell-and-tube heat exchangers to preheat process air, water or thermal oil. This reduces operating costs and stabilizes the energy supply.

    • Thermal oil systems for stretching / stenter frames, dryers, setting and coating processes, as well as for ironing, smoothing and compacting systems
    • Electric heaters for emission-free heating and flexible load
    • Thermal oxidizer / incinerator systems for contaminated air streams
    • Heat recovery using economizers and shell-and-tube heat exchangers
    • Engineering, integration, and commissioning during ongoing operations.

CAW supplies state-of-the-art heating systems that maintain process stability and, consequently, consistent product quality, while also efficiently utilizing both primary energy and waste heat streams. The goal is a highly flexible heat supply system that operates reliably and increases production reliability.
